Hi, I've been suffering with acropora losses for months now. I dipped a couple of the corals and have taken some pictures of what I found under a magnifying glass. Can anyone help me identify these and help me identify what I am dealing with?

Most of those are harmless amphipods
Thanks for the response. I've been told I have black worms? I presume they meant bugs? Attached is a pictograms the bug identified and a video of the worms from them.

Hmmm I am not familiar with those. @vetteguy53081 do you know anything about them?

Wow - I see amphipods, Mysid shrimps, Gamma shrimp, a couple circled which appear to be acro eating polyclad, flea like thing likely a Marine Cladoceran and possible red bugs.
Some are harmless, some are pests around coral and the bugs are an issue.

Not sure what dip you are using but CoralRX and Revive seem to be effective with most of these. If Black bugs- will be a battle with crushed powder from a dog treatment called interceptor

Thanks for your help. I dip with a combination of Modern Reef C-Dip and Coral Rx.

Attached are some pictures of what I found yesterday. We can’t get interceptor here in the uk without prescription from a vet and they don’t really understand marine environments.

I’ll do some research on uk forums to see what comes up.

I don’t have a quarantine tank. Do they need to be separated after dipping? Will the pests just carry on where they left off or do they only live on the coral itself?
