I agree with you, I am just a lunitic not understanding metabolism effects in a reef tank, lol.
I was comparing my tank to the fish hatchery I built and maintained on campus. The pH would not budge until 30 mins or so after feeding due to different foods, separated tanks, larger water volume etc... I started the thread because I thought it was strange the pH went down the moment I put food in the water. But it's totally normal! I'm amazed.
