Ph not having a diurnal swings

I started using a co2 scrubber. I am using brs soda lime media in a reactor. First media used the ph swing was 8.15-8.30. The media was exhausted and I exchanged it. Not is is remaining at 8.15 but not getting above 8.10. None of the media got wet. There is after in the bottom to get it humid. Checked my parameter
Ca: 487 alk:8.02 mag 1470 could the higher ca causing this?
I know a steady ph is best but I was hoping to increase the ph just a tad bit. My coral are loving the higher ranges I think. More polyp extension and my potties that was damaged appears to be growing back.

I am dosing 5 ml daily of brs two part. I stopped the ca for today because I feel that ca is too high.
