Hello everyone!
I'm running ReefPi on Robotank hardware and am trying to set up my PH probe. I'm having some difficulty with calibration and thought the newly purchased probe may be at fault. The one from Amazon I purchased is the Milwaukee Instruments MA913B/3 PH probe. There is some type of dried residue on the probe right out of the box. Is that normal?
I've seen this now on both probes I've purchased from Amazon. Attaching a picture to show the residue

There is liquid in there to keep the probe wet. You take that black cap thing off to calibrate and use. Instructions guide you through it

Was there any liquid left? If not, it's no good.
In the instructions they say if the fluid leaked out or the tip got dried out bringing the sensitivity back by soaking it in a Ph4 solution for about a day and then proceed to calibrate

Shouldn't be dried though return!
His appears to still have some fluid in it, from how it looks. There just has to be enough to keep it wet. Mine had leaked some as well when I received it but there still was enough in there to keep it wet.

If it’s bone dry and he wants to return it without soaking it he can surely go that route

There is some fluid in it. However there were no instructions provided. I did not know about needing to remove the black cap? Hopefully google will help me find instructions for this probe

Well after pulling off the cap, there is no liquid inside. Not sure if I should return or attempt to use? Also if anyone has a link setup instructions that would really be helpful. Admittedly I am a complete noob when it comes to setting this up.

If no instructions and dry I would probably opt to send it back. I can’t find the instructions online for that model you’d have to email Milwaukee for them
