This stuff is so powerful. What should I do? I tested phosphate at 0.17ppm yesterday and added 4 tablespoons to my 26g tank in the filter sock. 24 hours later phosphates are zero. I immediately pulled the GFO.

How bad is this? Any tips?

What does your coral stock look like? Nuking Phosphates to 0 typically isn’t something coral like, especially from 0.1 IMO

Acans seem a bit deflated, one SPS has good polyp extension, my two acros don’t have much extension but they’re new within the week and I think haven’t got used to the tank. They’re my first acros so hope they do well. Anemones are fine, zoanthids haven’t been doing great already in terms of growing. Kenya tree looks alright and montipora looks good still. I fed the tank a lot and I’m curious if phosphates will be up later tonight

Remove the binder and wait a bit and it is likely to come up as phosphate releases from rock and sand. Foods will also bring it back up.
Removed immediately after Hanna read 0. How long should I expect for the rock and sand to leach? Also what would you recommend to get the leach effect minimized

6 hours later it’s back to 0.12 any tips on how I can manage these swings? Less rowaphosph? I also have phosphate RX @Randy Holmes-Farley

I have a 25 gallon, I add only 1 tablespoon in the sock and it will bring mine down. I do believe it states only double the dose if not in a reactor.

I'd wait and see where it stabilizes after a few days. You may not need any GFO for a while. If and when you do, use a lot less. :)
