Hello everyone! I just purchased about 7 medium size photosynthetic gorgonians for my 75 g mixed reef. I did a lot of research on their care, pavement, etc. but somehow never came across threads about their chemical warfare until today and those reviews have been mixed about them killing lps and sps via chemical warfare— I do plan to start running activated carbon….but Is this something I need to be worried about beyond the carbon? Should I remove these? (They look awesome)

mine are within a few inches of frogspawn and hammer and lepto, but nothing touches and its been fine. I've had no issues with long range warfare

Fantastic! Thanks everyone, I was hoping this was misinformation or overdramatized because these guys sure do add a cool look in a reef tank.

I have 5 different gorgs in my mixed reef with no long range issues. Ive seen them touching mushrooms with no issues, but when different gorgs touch each other some tissue damage can happen.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
