Phytoplankton and pods for new tank

I want to be very patient and move slowly during my reef process so here is what I was thinking.

After initial nitrogen cycle is complete start adding some phytoplankton and shortly after some pods just to get the diversity going.

Along the same timing maybe a clown fish or too in a 35 gallon tank.

Figured I’d wait on the CUC until some of the ugly starts to show itself.

But just as a fun extra step I thought culturing some phyto and adding to the tank would hopefully be of some benefit.

What’s your thoughts?

phyto/copepods wont be necessary until the tank is cycled and stocked. even then its effects will be negligible. i say wait until the "new tank symptoms" start showing themselves then dose. then if you need to add CUC, you can.

without adequate phyto consumers you might end up w a bloom in your water column
