Just got this, where should it go, currently on right hand side rock.

Don't say sandbed, pistol shrimp would have something to say about that.

I have spare rock I can glue it to.

I'd move it every few days to higher and lower spots and see how it reacts, it should tell you where it is happiest doing that.
