So l was sitting here watching my 5 little Skunks swim happily through their 2 Anemones and noticed that the little disfigured fins are starting to look more and more “beat up”. Just a few thing a l thought could have caused this what do you all think?

l know their has been a little bit of nipping and chasing, as expected until they get hierarchy established, but never saw anything major. None of the activities last long and everyone goes back to usual business after 2 seconds or so.

l do also have a lonely Percula in the tank that seems to like these little guys. His mate died over the spring and now has company again.

l see the 3 Blue green chromis “flash” (Shake their body with all fins extended) every so often bit similar to hierarchy, doesn’t last long and never any contact is made.

Other than that could it be a case of finrot? These guys are Relatively new (3weeks) so could be possible. If so what other symptoms come associated with finrot.
FEEDING
l have seen all 5 eat consistently, twice a day, as well as make sure the Anemones are also well fed. They eat LRS Reef Frenzy In the AM and RODS Food Original Blend in the PM.
ACTIVITY
During the Blue photo periods, 6AM to 11AM/7pm to 9:30pm, they stay Relatively close to both Anemones.
During the white photo period, 11AM 7PM they swim shoaled with the Chromis.
They are always active and alert, and of course hungry when l walk up to the tank.
STOCKING LIST
3 Blue green Chromis
1 Percula Clown
1 Yellow Clown Goby
1 diamond goby
1 firefish
1 spotted Mandarin
1 yellow canary blenny
5 Indonesian Pink Skunk Clownfish
1 Cleaner Shrimp
MISC Crabs, Snails,

Thoughts?

There's likely to be one clown at the very bottom of the hierarchy - and that guy's going to be taking beatings from four other clowns. Even that simple fact could lead to infection, as any injury can.

Fin rot generally presents as very ragged edges to the fins, or a white or red "rim" that slowly erodes away the fin as the bacteria consume it.

Thank you! So l can rule out finrot at the moment because the fin just looks like it has bites taken out of it, and not so much as the whole edge is eroding. Also still clear. As for the hierarchy, all 5 Skunks have some sort of disformation in the fin/tails. Will this eventually calm down as thugs get established? Here is some pictures to help.

** Edit** the picture 3 from the top the skunk has a fin, just happens to be timed funny. **

Just a quick update. An Anemone decided to go for a walk today and plopped itself on the other side of the other anemone. The Skunks actually seem to have calmed down....At least for now. Fingers crossed these shmoos figured it all out.
