I know that with seahorses, one needs to provide adequate height for a mating ritual and egg transfer. Do pipefishes (specifically smaller Doryrhampus species like the red and blue lined pipefish), also require a certain height to breed successfully?

I had a pair of banded pipes breed in a 40Breeder so I don’t think height matters either for any of the pipes
