Pistol Shrimp & Goby Pair

Hey! I’ve kept both styles of pairs and they’re both great in a 25 Lagoon.
If you want the highest chance of a quick, obvious pairing and a goby you’ll see perched out a lot, go Yellow Watchman + Tiger pistol. The tiger shrimp is usually a stronger “builder,” so just make sure your rock is stable so it can’t undermine it.
If you want the flashiest look and a more “clean” burrow setup, go Yasha + Randall’s (candycane) pistol. That combo is awesome, but the Yasha can be a bit shyer depending on rockwork and how busy the tank is.
Small tip: add the shrimp first (or same day) so it starts a burrow, and feed small meaty foods regularly so both stay visible and settled.
Regarding the introduction timeline, it's not perfect but I'm glad they paired. I'll try target feeding with an extended turkey blaster later today. I rarely see the shrimp eat from videos.... does the goby feed the shrimp?

So cool! Maybe in the future if I decide to do another nano tank, I'd forsure pick up the yasha & candycane duo.

Is that a tailspot blenny btw?
Yep, that's a tailspot. He's one of my faves - always out and about, gets along with his tank mates, and eats everything.

Congrats on your pickup!!

I’m most likely going to bring my striped fang blenny back to the LFS or sent to a friend’s tank. I really like how the tail spot blennies don’t get too big but has a huge personality. Have you ad any experience with bicolor blennies? I heard those are great for nano tanks too, especially how they stare at you haha
