Anyone been nailed by a pistol shrimp? What did it feel like?
Went to move a rock and something got me. Felt like a burn. Finger was red for a bit. No pic. No broken skin. I’ve had the rock and tank for 2 years. Ive moved all rock by hand thousands of times. Even pulled them out, rinsed, scrubbed, and nothing.
I do have a pistol shrimp but I was nowhere near his cave and I didn’t hear the telltale pop. I’m very familiar w that sound.
Was thinking maybe Bristol worm? But not likely given explanation above. What could have gotten me? No corals.
