I plan on using 20g Brute trash cans for my mixing/RODI storage and need to be able to stack them due to limited room. I've never done any DIY projects in regards to woodworking so can anyone point me in the right direction for building plans?

Won’t take much to support that. You could buy a shelf from the local home store if you don’t want to or don’t have time to diy. That math works out to about 175lbs each.
If you build it, a simple 2x4 frame and single legs will do just fine.
Here is mine made from 2x4 and a piece of 3/4 melamine board.
Thanks. Sometimes I suffer from a lack of planning. The actual leg support is on the inside, but when I got done it just didn’t look finished enough, so I scabbed some pieces on the outside just for aesthetics. That’s why it looks like the leg doesn’t touch the ground. It’s sturdy though. I have absolutely no problems climbing on it and walking on it to run plumbing and whatnot.Very clean! Impressive work.
We're using a 20gal Brute for our top off. It's a gravity drip using a 1/2" gate valve. We had several spare 2x4's & one 2x6", so we went a little overboard.
And the left side:
The brace on the left is supporting our 18gal surge tank that sits above all of this.
The load bearing 2x4's are easier to see from the bottom. Having the beams flush on the bottom of the 2x6 exterior framing provides the small lip for the Brute to remain inside the frame (not that it would move w/ 180lbs of water).
Enjoy your build!
