I was wondering if anyone has any idea what this plant is and should I remove it

Yeah, Halimeda. It is ok, but it can become invasive. I had some of that stuff take off in my 140 a few years ago and had to pull it out by the handfuls. Keep an eye on it and keep it pruned to a manageable amount.
