Trying to find its ingredients but am having a hard time. May i ask why inside? Why not outside? There is other epoxy pond coating you can buy in black.

I have a customer overflow weir I want to paint the same color as the back of tank and am going to use plastidip. I've seen someone use plastidip on intake tubing but want a few thousand second opinions

Lol, ok so this is what ive found. Doesnt look right to me from a hobbiest standpoint. Maybe someone with better knowledge will stop in to see if something like this can dissolve in seawater.

Sounds pretty safe to me.

https://plastidip.com/our-products/plasti-dip/#faq-child-food-safe
IS PLASTI DIP SAFE TO USE ON CHILDREN'S TOYS, ANIMAL CONTAINMENT, AND/OR ON KITCHEN UTENSILS?-
Plasti Dip does not contain any heavy metals, and when completely dry, is considered harmless. However, it is not recommended that it be used on items that may be chewed or inserted into the mouth as it may present a choking hazard.

https://plastidip.com/our-products/plasti-dip/#faq-chemical-resistant
IS PLASTI DIP CHEMICAL RESISTANT?-
Plasti Dip protective coating has excellent resistance to acids, alkaline, and most common household chemicals. However, it is best to test this before going ahead with your application. Plasti Dip does have limited resistance to petroleum-based products.

Yeah ive been hesitant to use plasti dip as krylon fusion seems to be the overall standout regarding submersion. Let us know how it works though as i see plasti dip at stores much more than krylon fusion!

Did it cause really high nitrates? I used plasti dip on an in tank sump box and my tank has nitrates over 100 ppm. Don’t know if I should rip the plasti dip off and and repaint or what!? Keeping my fingers crossed!
Thanks and wish me luck on this simple complicated question lol

I can say I have a PVC rack with krylon fusion and nitrate is 5-10ppm if you’d like I will test now and share results.
I’d like to know how nitrates are released?
I’m aware it’s highly flammable until it’s cured But what paint isn’t that’s aerosol

75g- 20Lsump.

I use plasti for mags outside the tank to rubberized so they don’t damage anything
