Hi,

I recently bought those different colored pot scrubbers in a single bag from 99cent store.
On the bag it states non stick.

When I touch it, there is a sticky feeling to them, like it is coated with something.

Are these safe for marine life?

I know people used them before but not clear if they added some chemical to them that could kill everything in the tank.

Some come with soap already on them and sometimes they have manufacturing oils on them. I wouldn't risk it.

The color/dye leeches out so i wouldn't use colored ones. Get the plain white ones & rinse in a vinegar solution before using.
