I have a 225 gallon 72x24x30. The stand is steel powder coated and in great condition but the stand is only 30” tall. I’m familiar with stand heights. This is going into a room with 20 ft ceilings and I want to make it higher. I’m planning on making a platform out of 2x8 double the side walls and 3/4 birch on top. Does that seem ok to do to make a platform under the steel stand?

I did similar with a wood stand. Created a 2x8 platform to give the tank more presence in the room. I’d drill through the bottom of the metal stand and secure it good with SS screws.
