Pleas help conflicting info

So I have a group of what was sold to me is pink star polyps, but what is apparently an encrusting pink gorgonian has completely taken over my tank.I'm reading completely conflicting information on whether or not it contains paleotoxin's.What zoanthids and how carful i need to be tying to remove it we dont have anywhere close where I can just swap rock

I’ve never came across information about gorgonians having a palytoxin. I wish just digging around looking for information on this species. I’ve not heard of this. But your pictures look exactly like the encrusting gorgonian I’m seeing at several online retailers.

I wonder if an angel fish would devour this. It has the kind of polyps and motion that my angel would probably destroy.

Similar to branching gsp — my angel destroyed it.
 
Neither star polyps or gorgonians have palytoxin.

sadly a good chunk of what’s out there is false info now days. I was researching lights yesterday and in both cases google AI said reef breeders and GNC were non existent light companies that were more than likely used to scam people. We all know this was false. 😂
 
Almost all the zoas and palys in reef aquaria today do not have paleotoxin. Many years of aqua culture seem to have eliminated it from the subspecies. Specific wild caught palys still do though. Pretty much every single coral vendor has zoas and palys and you never hear of any toxin poisoning.
