Please help ID this equipment

Someone gave me a free piece of equipment. He told me that it's some sort of "phosban reactor"......but I don't quite think it is that.

It is a: SICCE Shark ADV 158 US gallon per hour "internal power filter for aquariums".

Should I attempt to set this up in the 15gal sump of my 40gal reef tank? 1st chamber (left) is the pump, 2nd chamber is the skimmer and sock, 3rd chamber houses nothing but water. Will it help with the filtration?

It appears as if it's some sort of in-tank filter. Not sure where the phosban comes into play?

Its not needed. Its just a internal filter. Not even sure you'd be able to use it in a sump, it has to be fully submerged.
