Came in my clean batch of chaeto does anyone have a clue . Looks like something that's not going in sump. Thanks

Hard to tell in this type of container as it can be the stem of an aptasia

Good too know the pic is not that great I am not home to further inspect if its aptasia do you think after removing it and inspecting the remaining algee that it would be good to introduce to the sump. Or is it the kinda thing that can spread.

I would wait for an ID. It could be something cool to display, or aiptasia which can multiply quickly and cause you lots of work. If you can isolate it and take a photo, thats what i would do. Aiptasia are a pain.

If aptasia, it will likely spread. If in doubt" take it out" and eliminate whatever it is to reduce risk of more.

Still tough photos but from a couple would be a ball anemone which is harmless.
