yeah that’s I said most like a kind of rather than straight Midas because I’ve seen some before with browned out skirts and others white bright yellow ones

Next to them on the right seems to be eagle eye zoas with a head of what I think is salted agave

Thanks! I'm starting to think I should give up on identifying them since (1) there are so many types and many are similar and (2) the photos online for each one vary quite a bit.

Yeah I know how it can be but the good thing is the as long as you like them the name doesn’t matter too much you know

Some names have changed a great deal over time. Others have remained mercifully the same. It matters little in the end since its marketing. Naming is only useful if its referring to a specific thing and the name is widely acknowledged. Good luck with that now these days.

Starting clockwise mid top: mystiques, king midas (many strains, some don't have the colored skirt), slightly morphed nightcrawlers, agave type (behind), watermelon (front), hulk variety, Candy apple reds - center - (bunch of different CAR types), Miami Hurricane variety, finally another Candy Apple type.

When you've seen enough zoas you come to recognize that there's a number 'bucket' strains where its all generally the same thing with minor or mutable traits. No point in splitting hairs on some stuff.

On the other hand, there's strains like rastas, utter chaos or blue hornets where its a specific thing that's continuously been in the hobby.

Anyhow, garden looks great. Are you feeding them?
