Maybe a Cup Coral?
That is possibly the closest thing I have seen so far. Invasive Cup Coral, doesn't seem like much I can do about them. Since they are somewhat like nems I may try aptaisia removal methods (peppermint shrimp and such).

A peppermint that eats non-aiptasia may also eat your other non-aiptasia, maybe your corals. Try Aiptasia-X.

Will the Aiptasia-x work on the one near the base of the frag? I haven't done research on using it on or near corals.

Yes. It only harms whatever you put it directly on, so as long as you shut off the pumps to prevent it getting blown around, it won't touch anything else.
