What in the world are these..?
They look like miniature pineapple sponges but, they are attacking my coral big time.
Their spreading like wildfire too.
They are mostly on the rock, not equipment, however they seem to be aggravating the coral
Anyone know if they are indeed sponges?
Any suggestions..

Does indeed look like pineapple sponges…can’t give you any tips how to get rid of them. I had same issue but tank crashed relatively soon after(unrelated). I found them to grow a lot in/on my equipment strange they haven’t for you.

Thanks for the response!
Hopefully, it will just be a phase..
Yeah, they seem to just be on the rock and some starting around the edges of my coral.

Definitely look like pineapple sponges. Never heard of them aggravating coral. They tend to show up early and then disappear without intervention.

I have a another picture I would like to put out there too,
Almost suffocating one of my hammers.

Is there any chance you can get one of these things out of the water to take a better image? Try to take the image at a spot that is well illuminated with neutral/white light. This will help the camera sensor to get a clear picture.

I'm not aware that pineapple sponges (Sycon sp.) are harming corals in any way, even when they are growing on a coral's skeleton. I'm relatively sure you are dealing with some other organism and would take great interest in identifying it properly.
