I was sure it wasnt aptasia as it had thicker tentacles and and it was confirmed when i saw the skeleton when it was affected (not so much) by an ato failure for 'who knows how long' while i was out of the office for 10 days. i thought about fungia but it wasn't flat! i guess it needs to grow little more to be flat? should i detach it from branch as the tiny acro brach it is on is not FLAT? if it is a fungia, cool. i never had a long tentacle fungia.

hey i googled devonshire cup coral, and all those pictures were just like the one in the tank, although it is only 1/2" now. Is it a keeper or not? that is another question in my mind hearing the specie for the fist time.

Sorry I didn't see a alert for this post. They aren't bad. Just don't put any corals near them because they can sting.

A7C1671C-2B4F-4200-A6AD-CE2D5EA3DA17.jpeg Oh since this identification, it has grown... i think it turned into a fungia or it is in fact fungia? What do you think? It’s over a quarter size.
Wow, from the first pic I would have thought it was aiptasia. What a transformation!

I got a baby plate that looked similar to yours too. It really did look more like a mushroom/aiptasia hybrid at first.
