I leave the ones I have. They tend to self regulate depending on food supply. If you don't over feed they should stay under control.

Just don't touch them, those bristles are like fiberglass.

Just don't touch it, the bristles are irritating and are difficult to see once in your finger. Otherwise a good scavenger and I don't mess with mine.
