Please help me identify this beautiful

new fish I got 2 days ago.

Oh... that my friend is Cetoscarus bicolor, as @eatbreakfast mentioned, they get BIG (over 2 feet), turn into a beautiful fish... that will eat it's way though your coral in about 48 hours... what size tank is he in?

Parrotfish primarily eat algae - but can chew up stony corals to extract zooxanthellae.

This adorable little character (looks like a tiny Coast Guard cutter, doesn't he?) will grow to become a rust-and-grey female with a dull white swoosh on her upper back, then likely change to a male - brilliant green with pink markings. By the time it does, it may well be two feet long, with an impressive beaklike set of choppers.

But hey, look at the bright side ... if he devours your corals, he'll poop sugar-fine aragonite sand!
