2.5 yrs old reef tank, light with Radion 8hrs/day. Nitrate and PO4 are near 0 using salifert. SPS heavy tank, grows well.

This nuisance green is growing on my sands, and I blow them with turkey baster and they are back the next day. Not sure what is it, cyano or algae.

I also have light red cyano grows on my sands, same thing that they disappeared when I blow them but back next day.

I tried not to use chemiclean or Red Slime remover. I have 2 tangs in the tank but no CUC.

Any suggestion to get rid of them?

Thanks

I can't tell what it is, but is there a reason you don't have a CUC? Even just a couple of hermit crabs and a conch or Nassarius might be a help.

chemi clean should work, been battling this myself. I solved the problem, but when I started dosing phyto for my new pods I added, it came back. Did this happen after a water change?

Mine come back regardless of water change or not. I change 10% weekly, my water volume is about 80 gallon (Redsea 350)
