Plumbing 60 gallon cube question

I have just purchased a solana 60 cube and I am having a sump made up. I plan on making a durso standpipe as there is only one hole for draining. My question is in regards to best plan of action for piping under the tank. The sump will be 22" x 24" and in theory I could have the piping go straight down into the sump. Is a straight run down going to be my best course of action or would it be better to have a few bends to slow the water down a little?
Would love some input.

I have a 60 cube as well...... The way I plumbed mine was a few bends on the drain side, but a straight shot for my return.

I realized wasn't totaly clear with question, I was worried that with straight shot on the drain it might be a bit noisy

I'm in the same boat and any plumbing advice would be great. Mine is the deep blue 60 cube with one inlet and one outlet on the bottom of the tank.

As long as your pipe extends into the water, I don't think it will make much of a difference.

This.... And also if you plan on running socks it quiets it down even more. Sorry for the late reply. I'll see if I can get a pic but I'm basically running a 20g sump. Drain has 2 90's return is just straight up. I run a Reef octo dc3500 for return.
