Hello everybody
This is my first thread
I have two nano reef tank
The first one have 1 years and half and is going very well
From three months I started with another nano tank (15g) for only sps coral and a few fishes (in order to try to reproduce Pajama)
I have one problem, my pocillopora damicormis
Just put it was very healthy
From a pair of weeks its polyps not extend
Te number are constant ok
KH 7,5
Calcium 430
magnesium 1400
salinity 34,7
NO3 - 0 (I'm adding NO3+ every day)
PO4 - 0 (I'm adding PO4+ every day)

Do you have any suggestion for that
Thanks a lot and greatings from Italy

Ivan

I hope you don't have a pest on that coral? If you can, pull it and dip it in potassium chloride 2 tablespoons/gallon of seawater for 5 minutes. If bugs come off, repeat weekly for 5 weeks and pray that they don't spread to other corals in the tank.

Otherwise, feed the fish more to increase nutrients, which both should be greater than zero to keep corals happy.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Thanks a lot for your help
I don’t think that would be a pest, its very clear and it don’t have nothing
I thought that could be a low level of illumination ( i tried to increase ) but at the Moment no result
I tried to increase also dose of no3+ and po4+
Strange the other sps are going very well
The Pocillopora shouldnt be an easy and strong sps?

Agreed, perhaps the coral needs more water flow or something else is needed?

Retracting flesh from the lower ends is often a result of poor parameters or pests.

Hopefully it will turn around.
