One of my tanks is a 5gal with macros and Shoal grass the only livestock is 15sexy shrimp and a few snails.

My problem is the pod population is out of control, they are beginning to damage the shaol grass and chop up pieces of macro leaving then scattered on the sand bed. Any ideas on how to eliminate or control the population!?

You could dose some h2O2. I used to dose it to get rid of Dino’s but it always brought down my population after dosing. I think it is because it kills phyto in the water which then starve them but this is purely anecdotal. Also you could just make a side job of selling pods. Another thing you could do is take out some of the algae or just vacume as many out as you can.
