Well, I put this to you. When it comes to pods, which do you prefer as a food source for fish...tiger pods or the real thing?

I prefer the real thing ,tiggers don't last long in a reef setup,they prefer cooloer temps.

I like to mix them. I keep the temp at 77+-2 and the tigs seem cool with it. I generally add 6oz of each alternating months or around $16/month.

I have to say that I like them both. I also use a frozen food for the fish that like pods. It seems to work really well.

I collect amphipods and copepods by the thousands and dump them in. Here is a video of a few minutes collecting.

Pods are far more cost effective and can maintain populations if there is enough LR for them.

Tisbe pods are tropical, unlike tigriopus (tigger pods). You can get a 16oz bottle of them for about $50 total on liveaquaria.com.

I'll be getting some myself next month.
