I can't remember where I saw it, maybe on the What you feed your Nem thread. Have there really been a lot of horror stories about bad silversides killing your anemone? The only reason I ask is that one of my bta's aint doing so hot, expands only a quarter of his original size, sometimes with gaping mouth.

I personally almost killed off 7 tank raised BTAs with bad silver sides. Worst anemone food ever.

It is not likely in the wild that an anemone especially a bubbletip to catch a whole fish .

Carpets are a different story, i had a foot wide gigantea carpet take out a 4 inch orange shoulder tang.

I feed Rods food

I remember feeling the same way about feeding silversides to an eel that used to reside in our tank. Rogger's Reef Food is a good anemone food, way better than silversides.

I never use silver sides have head alot of bad things about that food, and do not want to kill anything in my reef tank from food.....you would think they would do something about it killing anemonies and all....

The problem is that although my clowns are nem addicts, they could care less about feeding it. I think I'll stick to Rod's food.

The reason why silversides kill nems is that they are a whole fish, anemones are like a plastic bag a bone can puncture them or their insides and cause an infection and the death of your nems.

I feed rods food because its finally chopped and never the same

That makes a lot of sense, never thought about it like that. I have both mysis and rods food. I guess I'll alternate between the two.
