Poll - had to replace a fish before your kids found out?

How many of you have bought a fish your kids really wanted or had one that they were so attached to that when it died, you scrambled to get another in hopes they wound not notice? I just did this with my yellow watchman. Luckily I told my son “he likes to hide in the rockwork, that’s why you haven’t seen him since two nights ago”

Yep. I did that with my daughter’s Firefish after it jumped out. Went to the store and grabbed a new one. She figured it out when the new fish didn’t occupy the same rock crevice that the previous one did.

He noticed that this one is bigger but I told him it’s was eating really well and grew
