can you remove any of the rock and take them off manually? I've not heard of a green laser. I've heard of a laster to kill aiptasia.....I'm thinking the principle should work the same for polyps...

Maybe you could use some of the methods people use to kill aiptasia - squirting with hot water or lemon juice (turn off power heads and pumps first!) directly onto the polyp mouth with a pipette, or (this might be extreme if there's a big carpet of it) burying it alive with reef putty.
These might not be good solutions though, but they might work if nothing else does.
