Pom Pom Crab

Can I get some general info on these guys? Any benefits besides looking cool? Would they get along with an Emerald Crab and Different shrimp etc?

With the emerald crabs you would just need to be careful down the road if one got really big as it could attack the pom poms.

In terms of what they provide, as reefdork would say "they got bags of character." Really cool too.

The shrimp should be fine as well

Basically, the big benefit of them is that they look neat. The big drawback of them is that you'll rarely see them unless you have a small tank. The second big drawback is that their 'nems don't always make it.

They're cryptic, stick close to the rockwork, and only really come out at night. In the right setup they can be really cool, in the wrong setup you'll wonder why you bothered.

I had a Pom Pom crab for 4 days before I caught it trying to take out my cleaner shrimp and then took it out.
