Popbloom RL90

Hi wondering if anyone has experience with the popbloom RL90? Was thinking about upgrading for my 120L deep tank. Is it good for sps? Would one be enough for my tank? I can get a deal right now for a second hand used/brand new from the company for £90. They are usually a £200 light. Is it worth it?

I use that light on my 32 gallon, its a good light, I like the color that it puts out. I have leathers and gorgonians. I did put a birdsnest in there for a few weeks and it seemed fine. The one negative is the app is a bit complicated - for me anyway, but otherwise I have no issue, I've had it 1.5 years so far. Good luck

I've had 2 popbloom rl60 on my 40b and 1 on my 10g frag tank for the last 5 months. they work well. the smartlife app isn't terrible.

colors are good. par is very good, I run mine at 60% to get about 100 par at the substrate

Ive been running mine for about 3 years. WiFi chip died in one at 2 years 7 months into using it, they sent me the replacement chip for $10.

Im very happy with them, and after winning a tuna blue kessil a360xe, I sold it to get more RL90s. They use the Tuya home automation app, but they did a good job building out the UI for them being reef lights and not just a colored LED bulb. I would 100% recomend. It does enough to grow SPS at 14 inches from the light at least, thats as far as mine are, so not a good sample, nor have I tested PAR.

I will say this though, when I did have to get that wifi chip, from them, it was really hard to get them the $10 because all my banks were blocking the transaction. Finally my wife's chase account worked. I dont put that on them though.

Edit: I should also add they were super responsive and helpful when the wifi chip started acting up. And I am pretty sure that light in particular was their very first run, it was during their time of doing a test run sending the chip to users to install on their RS90s as an upgrade. Also, my kids are not kind to them when they decide to do tank maintenance and have definitely gotten water on them. Fan still runs, light works, and works like new after swapping the chip. The other 6 I have are still running without a problem.

Also I became a fan of the tuya app and got poor strips and temp probes because it is a cheaper solution to get some tank monitoring going instead of spending tons on all the small tanks wr have, strictly because of the popblooms introducing me to it.

Also they always send chinese toys with the light. My kids still play with these figures that came with our first 4 we ordered.
