Possible aquarium pest? ID

Hello R2R!
I have recently set up my first reef tank about 6 months ago . Found something on a combo rock I picked up at my lfs two days ago that wasn't there when I bought it. was wondering if I could get any help as to what it is. It's the little pink thing at the top

Looks like it could be a molt/exoskeleton from a crab, might be a Gall Crab molt/exoskeleton. Suppose it could be a Gall Crab feeding.
Squirt some water at it, if it floats away it's a molt, if is withdraws than it's alive. Sorry that is the best I can do. :-)

Ohh okay ! I blew water on it with little Baster and it didn't move even poked at it and it has like a hard shell .

Well alrighty then, from that angle it looks like a sponge, dang I was hoping for something more exotic. :( Hopefully someone else will be more conclusive. :D
