Post count, does it affect your decision to buy or sell?

There is a thread going on currently about buying from members who have low post counts and it makes me wonder, does post count numbers help you decide to ether sell or buy from another member here on Reef2Reef?

Post counts have no effect on us. However, verified address does, lol. Feedback score doesn't really matter either. We have customers that join here because we advertise here so they have low post counts and are great customers...

Actual post count, not really. But I would feel more comfortable buying from a member w a good rep. Which I don't really get from the feedback section. Just from seeing how their transactions go and involvement on the forum.

There are some reefers that just don't like to post or they just choose a differnt forum to post majority of the time.

doesnt matter to me as long as my stuff arrives alive, or unbroken. not everyone whos new to R2R are new to the hobby

Are we talking about members buying stuff from someone new here that has the minimum number of posts to sell stuff here?
I think you have to look at everything you can.
The way the ad is presented, the price and if pictures are involved.
If it's alot of money, then I'll even check the user name at other websites to see if I can see if anything shows up.
Plus I'll look at his posts here to see how things are here.
It's all about trust, and since we really haven't met face to face, then you have to figure out other ways to see if you can trust that person with your money.
I've been very lucky here and other sites. I've sent off as much as a weekly paycheck and been rewarded very well.

Post count doesn't truly matter to me either. Even the feedback doesn't matter. I have made purchases from vendors/sponsors with great ratings and been burnt by poor quality livestock (freshly cut) that die within days. Even gave a couple a second chance and was burnt twice. I haven't looked at their posts or purchased anything else from them. I would love to warn others of my experience but feel it is bad karma to bash them in a forum, because these have been my experience. Other people may have had great experiences.

Maybe I should do more background checking.

For me looking post count raised an eyebrow...... But again looking at the whole situation. Post, pics, response ect.

I have had two excellent transactions from fellow reefers here on R2R that both rival some vendors. I have to say I have much respect for this forum.
