Hi Randy,
I need your help on this. My tank is going thru quite a bit of K consumption. I am trying to have a targeted level of 410, but. in a week it falls down to 380 PPM. Right now I am using Brightwell Poatassion Powder. My tank is 200 gallons, including sump and factoring in water displacement.
I make a stock solution by dissolving 100 grams in 1 liter of RODI water, and raise my potassium to the targeted level by dosing about 230 ml for 2 days and it corrects it to 410 from 380 PPM. I am using salifert test kit for testing K.
I did read an article that the K is consumed quite a bit cause I am carbon dosing, using RedSea NoPox.
My question, is there a cheaper alternative. Brightwell K consists of Potassium Chloride and sulphate. Please help me.
Thank you,
Vamsi.
