Have a ~180 gallon tank, it’s 96”x36”x12”tall.
Usually I see a length and gallon recommendation for tangs. Are they both needed or is the actual length/swimming room more important?

For fish I was thinking
Naso blonde
Clown tang
Tomini tang
Scopes tang
Foxface

Is this ok without having the gallon recommendation for the clown tang? Tank will be a grow out with a couple rock structures for fish.

I would take the clown tang out of the mix. Nasty fish and will cause issues with the other fish. I would replace it completely. As for the blonde naso, many come in not doing well and die. Issue with collection methods is suspected. A regular naso is just as stunning if you cant find a reputable source for the blonde. But trust me on that, take that clown tang outta that list

Will take the clown tang out, I’ve always wanted one, but never had a tank even close enough to justify getting one. Orange shoulder sound a bit better?

As others have said, leave the Clown out of that mix and you're golden, with room for more.

An 8' tank is too small, IMO for a Clown Tang, and even in the largest of systems, they are real jerks.

I was glad to read that you are striking the Clown Tang. Wise move... There are lots of other fish in the sea! {Pun.}

My clown has 0 aggression to any of my tangs. The key to success with them in my option is to find a small one like 2 inches or smaller and raise it to size. But when it comes to it as and option I’d be more concern in your situation with the tank height 12 inches is very shallow.
