After reading about everything in Texas with winter storms and power outage .
wouldn’t you know Ontario is getting it now .

it’s already cold and it’s been only 1.5 hours

how often should I empty water to recirculate ?

no generators , no battery backup .
I was going to heat water on the propane bbq and float bottles of water in the sump .

I am so sorry uh, I recommend you try to heat it up with a pot pour the pot of water in and recirculate, try to make sure the warmer water doesn't get the chance to kill your corals

@Rickybobby are you having the same power outages?
Not at all. I live in rural southern Ontario Canada and power goes out all the time. I’m blessed to afford a well built house. Massively insulated but a few months ago the systems were put to the test and with no heat or movement everything did just fine. A few corals looked a little mad abs the fish moves very slowly. But shortly after all came back!
