The utility is pulling apart a transformer right now, leaving our house with no power! Luckily its nice out ad raining so I can swing the doors open to keep the tanks cool.

I will be using a glass jar to stir the water, lighting can be off for days so that's fine.

I unplugged my skimmer so it doesn't flood before the sump levels out. A other thing I did was unplug Half my powerheads so they don't flip out turning on at the same time with my return pump and lighting.

If you have a timer/power strip make sure the battery is fully juiced, so you don't have to tinker with it later like that VCR that flashes 12:00 constantly.

And last but not least, get a chair and watch the power people act like fools with mass quantities of electricity.

Glad you're there to watch after it!

I had a power outage and for some reason my tank didnt turn on along with the power. Id recommend getting the b11 which is a bubbler you plug into the wall amd it senses when the powers out and can run up to 48 hours on 2 d batteries

I am so lucky to work from home in these instances. I really should invest in a backup power supply or generator. The power is back on again though! It started to rain so they hurried their butts up!

Guess i can turn my skimmer back on now?! UGh, the basement stairs are so hard to get down without knocking stuff off the walls. I cant wait until I can afford a mini elevator.
