I inherited a 29gallon tank from my oldest teenager that I would like to make into an anemone tank. It is plumbed to my main sump and he left the black box led, but he took the powerhead and most of the live rock.

Is there a preferred powerhead for anemones or is it pick your favorite and put an anemone gaurd on it?

For a 29 gal I would just use a good return pump to give it some flow right on one end of the tank. That will give it flow without having a PH in an anemone tank. What kind of anemone do you want to keep? That should be enough for BTA.

if you want to keep high flow anemones like Magnifica or Gigantea than nothing beat a Vortex MP10 for a 29 gal.
