I'm ready for my powerheads. I want to do a JBJ wavemaker (cost is totally a factor at this point). I have a 120g with dual overflows and all I need is my powerheads. Any idea what size I shoould use? I have several easy to care for corals nothing requiring extreme amounts of flow but I definately want some realistic motion.

I've never had any good luck with powerheads on a wave maker. The impellors deteriorate quickly, even on the powerheads that are supposed to be OK to use on wave makers.

I use a Koralia 1050 on my 120 along with two MP40's. I understand that the MP40's are probably out of range for you so I would do something like 4 K1050's in there for a start.

Thanks. I'm heading to the aquarium store this evening I'll pick something out. And I agree with the wear and tear concern with a wavemaker.
