I put in this mohawk flame request a long long time ago. I thought Colin has forgotten. Then I get a call from him saying hey Andy guess what? Colin went above and beyond in helping me acquire this beautiful mohawk and beautiful Gem. Once again but with confidence and if you ever need to special order let Colin know he'll go out of his way to get what you need.

That is a beautiful wrasse... I look forward to making a purchase from ZoaCollector one day...

Can I get an opinion from you guys... I see the wrasse is being QT'd... It's well known that ZoaCollector's fish are fully conditioned, eating and in tip top shape... Is it possible that the fish doesn't need to be QT'd again... after an overnight flight to deliver... I'm, not being critical of your procedures... it's smart, and safe to QT... seems like these fish could be ready for the tank (or acclimation box)... thoughts?

I have over 2k in fishes in that video and many more dollars in my tank. I'm not risking anything. It's not that Collin has sick fish it's piece of mind that matters to me. I quarantine everything wet. It comes down to hows much is the rest of your tank worth to you?

Exactly what Scuzy said, it's always best to QT, granted one knows how to properly QT.
Any customer that wants advice is welcome to ask.
We help all our customer learn what medications do what and how to use them properly.
QT isn't always the easiest thing to do. There are so many factors involved.
We do our best to treat our fish and make sure they're in peak health before leaving the facility.
As you know there's always a chance of something slipping by, so QT is advised.
Do diligence goes a long way, especially for those tanks that have a lot invested and limited options.
Best advice is to use a QT for observation for a couple days with some type of mild antibiotic like Furan 2 to relieve stress from shipping, and go from there.

So if with fish it is mostly clear to me how to quarantine them, I am not sure how to qt invertebrates. Shrimps should be fine I guess but what about snails, that requires algae and sand ? Do I need to put sant into QT in order for them to survive ? Thank yoU!

I have a 10 gallon cycled tank with chaeto in it where I keep my inverts for a month.

I only see an airstone and heater, but no filter. Are you doing tank transfer method and are you treating it with melanine blue in the video?

This is my documented procedure

Quarantine everything wet. For fish I do formalin bath 45min, then straight to TTM during ttm I dose prazi pro. Also during ttm I put nitrofuracin green in to help with bacteria infections. After ttm it goes in my cycle quarantine tank for 2 weeks observation. Then into my display. Since doing this I haven't lost any fish to diseases.

For corals and inverts it goes in my cycle tank for 2 months.
