Well I am not the type if person to ask for help. I was not raised that way. The past two weeks of my life would make a great country song. I won't go in to everything but one thing I will. My 2 year old english mastiff (tank) has some kind of infection and I spent last night at the vet hospital I work from like 8 pm to 10 pm because he ended up with a 105.4 degree fever. After blood test and x rays all we know if he has an infection and sent samples off to the lab so they can setup cultures. Well all last night I was awake checking his temp and making sure his fluid pump was running. He went back to work with me this morning cause his fever was coming back. I got his temp down to 101 around 2 am this morning but by 7:30 it was back to 104.7. I am going to be going through everything I have reef related and putting up for sale including my 125 gallon fish only that is running right now. I might have to put my reef up for sale that I just setup a month and a half ago after it crashed. I don't know what everything will be worth do I just ask if the price its to much please offer a fair price. Please don't try and low ball me just so you get a good deal. I know I will not get enough to pay his whole bill but looking to at least make a dent in it. I love this hobby but I also love my dog. I might have to get out of the hobby for a little bit till I can recover what I am gonna be spending on Tank. I know there are some local people on here that are not on the local club forum so if you are some what local to me send me a pm and I will tell ya when I get everything posted and on what forums. Thanks.

This is what I had to look at last night instead of him chewing on his bone and beating people up with his tail.

He is doing a little better today. Back at the vets for more fluids and meds. He actually wagged his tail last night for the first time in a couple of days last night. The fever is still there but not near that scary number. So he is fighting it.

He sounds like one tough pooch!! Glad to hear he is getting better.

Wow very sorry to hear about your situation with the family dog. I know I would do the same if put in that predicament hope all works well for you and your dog I know a fellow reefer out by me in jersey just went through the exact same thing very unfortunate

Oh man. I'm so sorry to hear that. That's terrible, I hope your dog turns around for the better. I'm sure there will be locals who can help you out, I'd post a list of all your equipment with pictures. Things will go faster than you think.

Good luck!

Wow that's really sad! : ( Dogs are really mans best friend! I dunno what I would do with out My dog Nieko (German Shepherd) either way I hope he gets better! Fluids are definitely key! And keep him cool! You may wanna do ice packs wrapped in a towel and cover him with it to keep him cool thats if he doesn't mind being covered with a cold towel. Another way to cool them down is with frosty paws! a frozen dog treat or Popsicles and or Ice works well if your dog likes to chew ice like mine do. : ) good luck!
