Good morning all! So at the "clearance price" for the G3, I purchased a second Radion to hang over my reef. I feel as though I did all the correct steps and attached the new Radion through APEX Classic, but the light color in my reef doesn't match, the new light emphasizes more white and red. Does anyone have any thoughts??

You got to Nemo's reef? What store you get your items from. I used to love Fintastic.
I have a friend who lives in Weddington. Took my food truck there for an event one time.

Yes, I visit Nemo's...Chris (one of the owners) is very good to me. When I first started reefing I would go to Fintastic, they were good to me as well until the end, their last manager was a tool. There's another store similar to Fintastic (can't remember the name) just off 77 at Clanton Ave. I've been in it once or twice lately. Interesting they have some stuff Nemo's doesn't have so it's nice to have two stores relatively close. Much of my set up is from on line stores and probably 90% of my coral is from on line.

Chris at Nemo's is a very good guy. I've purchased from him for over 10 years. The local club, RASOC-Reef Aquarium Society of Charlotte, is a great club. We have at least 2-3 industry speakers a year and many frag swaps. There are another 2-3 stores around Charlotte, just can't remember them all on the top of my head. Yes, the previous manager, Greg, at Fintastic's was something else. I worked in the maintenance department for a while.

A guy who also worked there and his wife was at one point opening their own tank maintenance business. That's who I got my 130gal from. Small world, large reef hahahaha

Anytime! Stay Crispy My Friend!

Sorry to say that after observing my lights as they were winding down last evening that the pair of my Radions were still not matched. It was hard to tell during peak intensity during the day, but at lower intensities I still had a lot of red and white in my newest Radion. So off I went to the web and discovered that others had this same problem, and that an additional fix was to "calibrate" each Radion through ESL. So yea, I love a good challenge and have a love for punishment ! So I created an account in ESL, fumbled my way through the process of attaching each of my Radions through a USB cable to my computer and calibrated them. Long story short I went to bed with one of my Radions not working. Woke up this morning and fumbled through the process again (ready to put my head in a vice working with ESL... I'm an APEX sort of guy) and finally got the other light to work and connect to my WXM. I think that'll be the last time I touch ESL. For those that have the same problem as I did with matching your Radions up and want to calibrate, I hope you have a better experience than I :)!
