Hello everyone!
I'm running calcium reactor (GEO 618 model) with GHL ph probe, that connect to my profilux 4.
The solonied valve should turn on when ph hits 6.6 and rurn off when it hits 6.5

I calibrated the probe 5 times (!!) With 4 and 7 solutions.

It 3 hours and 3 bubbles per second to go down from 6.6 to 6.5

What is wrong here ? Its new probe !

Yea I dont use a probe on my 818.
I just set bubble count and my Kamoer delivers the effluent.
I set my effluent to 25-30.
A probe is just one more thing to go wrong, imo.

What was your effluent before you calibrated and then 24hrs later?

My 818 on my 6 month old system.
8mlm and 20bpm gives me 30+ dkh currently.

So how do you test the internal ph in the reactor ?
I'm running 40 ml per minute ,and it gives me 31 dkh ,550 cal ,and 1400 mag

And if you don't run ph probe , how do you when to turn on/off the soloniend valve ?

And its 2 bubbles per second

Solenoid only goes off if power goes out, always on.
You do not need to know the ph of your reactor.
Your effluent looks good. Is it holding your desired alk #?
I run a AGA 2 stage regulator on my system which is extremely accurate.

Nope , my all goes down to 6.9 dkh

Should I increase the ml per minute or inject more co2 ,to the reactor ?

Ok goes down from ? to 6.9 In how much time?
What media are you using?
What alk are you running?
What is your daily dkh useage?

Typically you raise both the co2 and effluent rate together.

I have never ran a ph controlled carx before.

In few days , it goes down from 7.5 to 6.9

I'm using TLF reborn media (larger size)

I'm running my alk on 7.5 to 8.0

I want dosing 300 ml of sodium carbonate, daily .

Mt tabk is heavily stock with SPS , most of them colonies .

I calculated the alk consumption , it's 2.0 to 2.5 dkh . Daily.

Nice system.
On my systems if alk went from 7.5-6.9 like yours I would first increase effluent rate and see if alk holds. More throughput equals more alk to the system as long as effluent alk stays in your current range.
Increase co2 if eflluent drops below your 25-30 range.
This is how I adjust mine and it is very simple.

It sounds like your reactor running the ph dosing method cant keep up. I would get some input from reefers that run ph dosed systems. That carx should be able to keep up with your sysyem.

I ran a 120 full reef running a similar sized carx and it had no problem keeping up. I was in the same dkh daily useage as you currently have.

Your corals looks good !
Thanks for the info ,I will apply this in my reactor and update here

Just fyi, there are folks who control reactors by internal pH and those who do the same by controlling flow and CO2 addition. Both can work fine.
