Here are some new pics.

-I skinned the stand with Maple. I used up all my maple and had to get different wood for canopy and doors. Should look fine though.

-Canopy build with Shaker style doors (stand will get shaker doors also). I used 4 corners braces for the canopy to sit on the tank. very strong and the canopy overall isn't that heavy. I still need to put in my rails for my LEDs. i will primer the inside of canopy also.

-Arty photo bombed me a few times... he likes to be on the internet :0)

-I used a Kreg Jig for my screws. it was my first time using one and its super easy. just make sure you buy an extra piece(pine) to practice on.

Staining is all done. Stand and canopy is a super dark color and doors and trim a lighter walnut color. Something different.

I had staining issues so 2 tone it is! Lol. I thought about 2 tone before starting but wasn't gonna do it. Looks sharp. I've seen a few pics online of other stands like that. Finally done. All I have are molding pieces to screw in after tank is in place. Stand is taller than usual cube stands. 36 inch tall. Canopy is 11inch tall

awesome job so far, one thing I would suggest is to support your plumbing with the stand so that all the plumbing weight isn't hanging on the bulkhead of the tank, once there is water flowing through it, it will be significantly heavier sometimes it doesn't take a lot of stress to cause the glass to shatter and any undue stress is best avoided...

Hey guys, I filled the tank and no leaks! I rock lol. Only issue is that the "T" I used on the drain to go to fuge and frags tank has very little flow and the flow has lots of air with it. I will attempt a T from the return line next or a second small pump just to go from sump to fuge/frags.

Got it going! Rock is in but I have 2 more larger pieces to put in. I also have another fixture to put in canopy. I'm still using the other on my frag tank. I connected the fuge/frag tank off the return pump but it's way to strong. I drilled a 1/2 inch hole and regret not doing bigger. I had no clue I would have that much forced water going in. I'll be adding few more cups of sand also..... it's finally looking like a finished product. Lol
