Finally made my mind up about the new anemone. Put it in and it stayed exactly where I wanted it to. Now just gotta get those clowns to go to their home lol. I also put a safety screen over the wavemaker just to be safe, in case the anemone decides to move.

What's up everyone that's still following along with me. Got a few exciting updates. Since all the family kids are older, this year we decided to do a family trip instead of gifts. We ended up in Kissimmee Florida. About twenty minutes from Disney World, and about 40 minutes from..... Wait for it.... WORLD WIDE CORALS!!! Needless to say I stopped by there and realized that I wasn't prepared at all lol. The store, the staff, and OMG the tanks and farm. I was literally speechless. I took some pictures but they aren't the best. If anyone that's not local to the area gets the chance to visit, I highly recommend it. Here's some pictures and a quick video.

As much as I planned to buy some coral from WWC while I was down there, I thought about it very hard and realized that it probably wouldn't have been the wisest thing to do to be able to ensure the safety and survival of the coral. Oh lol, I forgot to mention that we drove. Yup, from Indiana to Florida lol. Google told me 16.5 hours. But even with stops for gas and food, I managed to shave almost about an hour and a half off of that time lol. (Just keeping up with traffic lol)

Once I decided that I wouldn't be attempting to transport live corals in the car otw home, I also decided that I wouldn't leave WWC empty handed lol. If you've been following, you'll know that I've been looking into integrating a controller on to my tank. Well here we go. Here's my semi-official intro into the Hydros controller world. It's not on the tank yet, but I took it out and got it connected to my homes Internet. Now I just have to get the courage to pull my equipment board out and get everything mounted and connected.

That place is awesome. I actually traveled from there with a handful of coral, a foxface and a sea cucumber about 5 years ago. We flew from Orlando to our home town of Midland TX. There are special rules for TSA for traveling with aquatic animals, it went really well and had no issues. Total travel time was probably a little less than yours but it could have worked. The staff made sure to pack everything well for the trip.

What's up everybody. Happy Sunday! I've got an update on the Prostar. I got a Hydros X4 Starter Kit from WWC around Christmas. Well I finally stopped procrastinating and got the courage to install it last night. It took longer than I thought it would, but went pretty smooth. Fortunately I just had to move the inkbird to make room on the controller board. I only had one hiccup with connecting to my homes WiFi. I'm very grateful for the Hydros group on FB for helping me get the connection issues sorted.

And here's the finished install. It came out pretty good. I'll admit, there is some cable management needed behind the board lol. The inkbird is now behind the C0² scrubber. I also need to extend one of my doser lines. I don't like having them over any power supplies so they run under the Hydros WiFi power bar for now.

With the Hydros controller, I can check off one of my 2025 goal for the tank. Of course a healthy flourishing tank is the ultimate goal, but my plan is to upgrade the basics that will help with the ultimate goal. Next on the list for the main tank, but maybe not in this order, are upgraded/adding more light, upgrading sump size, and upgrading the ATO. I also want to upgrade the filtration and lighting on the mancave nano. Looks like I'll be working a lot of OT lol

What's up fellow reefers. Been a little while since I have an update on the tanks. I'll start with the Prostar. I have to say that I'm loving the Hydros controller so far. I have had to reset it by unplugging the power, but only because my Internet provider had an outage, not the controller itself. Right now I have it monitoring PH, temp, skimmer level, and also an auto feeder. I'll admit, I'm kinda hooked now and I'm looking forward to expanding my Hydros Collective. Other than that I have added a few corals, and I'm working on getting some remaining space filled. Got a few SPS frags in the rack. They're keeping their color and extending polyps so far so I'm happy. Enough talking here's a little photo bomb lol

One last pretty important update for the Prostar. I said earlier in the thread that I wanted to add some light.... Well I hounded the marketplace and got lucky. 2 3ft Orphek OR3 Blue Plus bars will be going on as soon as I can figure out a mounting solution. If anyone has some ideas/pointers, please let me know.

Now the nano lol. I'll admit, this tank has been more of a challenge than I first thought it would be. My goal is to basically fill it with frags from the main tank and a few that's only in the nano. But my plans have been put on hold due to the dreadful dinos. I refused to give up and start the tank over so I kept with my overall mission on it, but had to audible a little. I got lucky on FB marketplace and scored a brand new Aquastar G5 for a very good price.

For my battle with the dinos I've decided I'm gonna try the natural route with just a little tech lol. No water changes, blowing off rocks, stirring up the sandbed and changing floss. About an hour ago I did a little deep clean and moved some rock around for better flow and export. I had a small Aqua UV in my tank supply closet not being used so I pulled that out and got it going with a Sicce Syncra Nano pump. These dinos picked the wrong tank to mess with lol. Everything's still ticked off right now but I think I can live with for now.
